Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €285,000 at Dublin Airport

On Wednesday (24/04/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Sam, Revenue officers seized over 14.2 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €285,000 at Dublin Airport.

The illicit drugs were discovered concealed in vacuum-packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Spain.

A man in his 40s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and has since been charged. He is due before the courts this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
