Submit contract details for the Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) - contractors

What is the Input Works and Payments service?

This is an online service that enables qualifying contractors to record details of works completed on properties in respect of which claims under the HRI will be made.

Who is the service for?

This service is for qualifying contractors who need to:

  • input details of works to be carried out for home owners
  • input details of payments received from home owners for these works.

As a qualifying contractor you must be registered for Value-Added Tax (VAT) and compliant for Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT).

What you need to use the service

You will need the following information to use the service:

  • property ID[1]
  • property address
  • claimant name
  • description of works[2]
  • start date
  • end date
  • value of the works.
  • works ID
  • payment details.

How to access the service

If you are registered for the Revenue Online Service (ROS):

  • sign into ROS
  • in the 'Other Services' section access the 'Home Renovation Incentive (Contractor) tab
  • click on the 'Works' tab to see details of the works completed and to record new works.

Please note that the Home Renovation Incentive tab will only be visible to you if you are a VAT or RCT registered customer.

[1] The Local Property Tax ID should be given to the qualifying contractor by the homeowner.
