Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC)
The function of the Main TALC committee ( Terms of Reference (PDF, 41KB) ) is to review and make recommendations to achieve more effective and efficient administration of the direct taxes (income tax, capital gains tax, corporation tax, capital acquisitions tax), stamp duties and value added tax. The recommendations relate to either administrative practices of the Office of the Revenue Commissioners or of tax practitioners.
The permanent members of TALC are the Revenue Commissioners, the Irish Taxation Institute, the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland and the Law Society.
TALC consists of Main TALC and several standing sub-committees.
The standing sub-committees for 2016 are:

- TALC BEPS Implementation
- TALC Collections
- TALC Direct Taxes/Technical
- TALC Indirect Taxes
Ad hoc time-bound committees may be specially established under the auspices of TALC to deal with non-recurring matters or projects that may arise.
