Cigarette Seizure in Wicklow Harbour
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 60,000 L&M cigarettes following rummage of a ship in Wicklow Harbour on Monday 03/05/2004. The cigarettes are valued at €17,200 with a potential loss of revenue amounting to €14,000. The ship, the m/v Nota has been released on payment of a €34,440 fine. The ship had arrived from the port of Riga in Latvia carrying a cargo of timber.
