Revenue Seizure of Oil Laundry near Clones
In a raid on an oil laundry, officers from Revenue's Customs Service assisted by Gardai last night (25/03/04) seized 30,000 litres of laundered diesel with an estimated value of €24,000. Also seized were three large tanks, a lorry, a van, pumps and piping etc. with an approximate value of €15,000. The oil laundry had the capacity to launder 30,000 litres per week with a potential loss of revenue running to €763,000 per annum.
Customs Officers were called to the farmyard following an operation by Gardai.
Investigations are continuing.
