Seizure of laundered oil in New Ross

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service in Waterford have seized 30,000 litres of laundered oil with a value of €27,000 at a checkpoint in New Ross. A truck and tanker, with a value of approximately €30,000, were also seized. The truck had come from the border area and the oil was destined for the South East area. A Northern Ireland citizen with and address in Dundalk was released following questioning.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
