Seizure of Oil Laundry in Donegal
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service, today (05/11/04) seized an oil laundry plant and 20,000 litres of oil with an estimated value of €18,000 near Castlefin, Co. Donegal. Eight officers from the Letterkenny unit searched a shed and yard following a tip off from Gardai and detained tanks, pumps, generators, and ancillary equipment. The oil laundry had the capacity to launder 20,000 litres per day with a potential loss of revenue running to over €3 million per annum.
There were no arrests. Investigations are continuing.
