Liam Irwin becomes Head of Strategic Planning for Revenue

The Revenue Commissioners have announced that the current Collector-General, Liam Irwin, is to become the new Head of Strategic Planning and Accountant-General for Revenue.

His appointment to the position and to the grade of Deputy Secretary by the Minister for Finance follows a Top Level Appointments Commission (TLAC) competition.

Liam Irwin has been the Collector-General for ten years. A native of Tralee, Co. Kerry, he has spent over thirty years in the Office of the Revenue Commissioners. He served as a Tax Inspector in Limerick, Castlebar and Dublin prior to his appointment as Collector-General in 1995.
