Seizure of Oil Laundry in Monaghan
Officers from Revenue's Customs service from Monaghan and Louth last night (21/03/05) seized a laundering plant near Emyvale in County Monaghan. Approximately 10,000 litres of laundered diesel, equipment and a vehicle were seized. The oil laundry had the capacity to launder 8,000 litres per day with a potential loss of revenue amounting to €1 million per annum.
Two people were questioned at the plant and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
