Oil laundry seized in Co. Monaghan
Officers from the Revenue Customs service in Monaghan and Louth today (1 July 2005) seized an oil laundering plant near Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. Approximately 2000 litres of laundered diesel was seized, along with equipment. It is estimated that the laundering plant had the capacity to wash 1,000 litres of diesel per day, representing a potential loss of revenue amounting to €100,000 annually.
No arrests were made.
