New Collector-General for Revenue

The Revenue Commissioners have announced that they have appointed Gerry Harrahill as the new Collector-General.

Prior to his appointment he headed up Revenue's South West Region which encompasses the counties of Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Clare

A native of Castleiney, Templemore, Co. Tipperary, Gerry has spent over 16 years in the Office of the Revenue Commissioners. He also worked in the Department of Environment and in the Department of Transport.

He replaces Liam Irwin who led Revenue's collection arm for ten years and has recently been promoted to head the organisation's Strategic Planning Division.
