Major Cannabis seizure in Dublin

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service and Gardai today (28/11/2005) seized 1.8 tonnes of Cannabis resin, valued at almost €12 Million, at a warehouse in south Dublin. The drugs were packed into boxes described as 'note pads' and loaded on pallets.

The load which originated in Spain had earlier arrived by ferry into Dublin Port. No arrests have been made. Investigations are continuing.
