Seizure of Cigarettes in Cork
Officers from Revenue’s Customs service in Cork today (01/09/2006) seized 160,000 cigarettes with a value of €51,000. The various brands of cigarettes were seized in the Douglas area of the city following the execution of two search warrants. A number of Eastern European nationals were interviewed and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
