Seizure of Drugs in Ennis
In a joint operation involving officers of Revenue’s Customs Service in Shannon airport, Gardai from Ennis and the Garda National Drugs Unit, a quantity of Cannabis and amphetamines worth approximately €5,000 were seized in Ennis, Co. Clare today (07/11/2006). A 25-year-old Polish national has been arrested in connection with the importation and is being held at Ennis Garda station.
Officers in Dublin Airport had earlier discovered the drugs concealed in three videotapes which had arrived in a package from Poland.
