Seizure of Cocaine in Cork Airport
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service in Cork have seized approximately 1.1Kgs of Cocaine with a value of approximately €100,000. Customs officers became suspicious of two non-national males in their thirties who arrived on a flight from Amsterdam. 0.25Kgs of Cocaine was discovered strapped to the body of one of the men and after being questioned the men were arrested and taken to Cork University hospital where it was discovered they had, between them, ingested approximately 110 pellets containing 0.85Kgs of Cocaine.
The two men were handed over to Gardai from Togher Garda station.
