Customs seize 1.2 million cigarettes in Waterford Port
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service today (11/12/06) seized 1.2 million cigarettes with an estimated street value of €360,000 in Waterford Port.
The 'Super King' brand cigarettes were concealed in a container on a vessel which had arrived from Rotterdam.
The potential loss of revenue amounts to €290,000.
The find resulted from risk profiling.
