Cocaine Seizure at Dublin Airport
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service at Dublin Airport have today (05/06/2007) seized approximately 2.2kgs of Cocaine with a street value of €154,000.
As a result of risk profiling a 40-year-old South African male was found to have 2Kgs of the drugs hidden in the lining of a briefcase whilst concealing the remaining 200 grms internally.
The smuggler had arrived on a flight from Zurich having previously travelled from Nairobi, Kenya.
The man was arrested and handed over to the Garda Drugs Unit in Santry and will appear in court later.
