1Kg of MDMA (Ecstasy) seized by Customs at Dublin Airport

1Kg of *MDMA (Ecstasy) with a possible street value of €100,000 was seized by Customs Officers at Dublin Airport on, Monday, 5 February.

The drugs were concealed in two packages taped to the inner thighs of a 29 year old male who had just arrived on a flight from Amsterdam.

The man originally from Aruba in the Caribbean, who now holds a Dutch passport, was handed over to the Garda Drugs Unit, based in Santry.

He appeared in court on Tuesday and investigations are ongoing.
