Seizure of 1.5Kgs of Cocaine at Dublin Airport

Officers of Revenue's Customs Service at Dublin Airport have today (09/07/2007) seized 1.5Kgs of Cocaine.

The drugs, with a street value of €105,000 were discovered when officers examined the baggage of a 23-year-old female and her five year old son. The woman is the holder of an Irish passport. She had arrived on a flight from Paris having previously travelled from Johannesburg. The drugs were concealed in three shampoo bottles and consisted of 127 individually wrapped pellets.

The woman was arrested and handed over to the Garda Drug Squad from Coolock and will appear in court later today.
