Seizure of 18Kgs of Cannabis at Dublin Airport
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 18kgs of herbal cannabis yesterday (11/10/07).
The drugs, with a street value of €216,000, were discovered when a 41 year old South African woman was stopped and her baggage searched by Customs Officers. The drugs were found concealed in a suitcase.
The woman, who had travelled to Dublin from Johannesburg via Zurich, was handed over to the Garda Drug Squad from Santry and appeared in court this morning, where she was remanded in custody for one week.
