Heroin Seizure in Rosslare
Officers from Revenue's Customs service in Rosslare Europort have today (14/06/2007) seized 10.6 Kgs of Heroin with a street value of €2.1 million. The driver of a Nissan van, an man in his 40's originally from Tallaght, Dublin has been arrested and is currently being questioned in Rosslare Garda station. The van had arrived on a ferry from Cherbourg, France. The drugs had been hidden in a false compartment in the floor of the van. The find resulted from risk profiling and was identified by the 'Dillon', the Drugs dog.
