90,000 Unstamped Cigarettes seized by Revenue

In a joint operation, officers from Revenue Customs service in Cork and the Gardai from Watercourse Road, yesterday (09/12/2008), seized over 90,000 unstamped cigarettes.

The cigarettes, including L&M and Marlboro, with a street value of approximately €36,400 were discovered in a house on the north side of Cork City.

A male non national, suspected of being involved in the sale of unstamped cigarettes was interviewed regarding the seizure and the case will be considered for prosecution.
