Three Millionth Customer at Revenue's CRIO

Revenue honoured its three millionth customer to the Central Revenue Information Office (CRIO), today (05/02/08). Mr Frank Daly, Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners, presented Sylwia and Rafal Chajduk originally from Poznan, Poland, with a commemorative gift to mark the occasion.

Speaking at the presentation Mr Daly said:

"This marks a significant milestone in the history of our Central Revenue Information Office. A personal walk-in service will always be a key element of our commitment to a 'good service experience' and the CRIO has been a flagship for us in this area. We are rightly proud of the state of the art facilities and skilled staff that enable our customers to deal with their tax affairs in privacy and in comfort."

When it originally opened in 1992 the CRIO was designed to deal with up to 150,000 callers per annum, During 2007 the CRIO dealt with over 275,000 callers.

CRIO was completely redesigned and refurbished in September 2007 to cater for the increase in callers and to provide quality accommodation and improved accessibility.

The improvements to accessibility have recently been recognised by the grant of a National Disability Authority award.
