Cocaine seizure in Dublin Inner City
In a joint operation with the Garda National Drugs Unit, Officers from Revenue's Custom Service, yesterday evening ( 05/09/08), seized approximately 5 kilos of cocaine with a street value of approximately €350,000. The cocaine was discovered in a package believed to have originated in the U.S.
A 20 year old Congolese male was arrested at a premises in the South inner city and is currently being held at Pearse Street Garda station.
The seizure was as a result of profiling and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
