Second seizure of Cannabis in the Post
In a joint operation today (13/03/2008) involving Officers from Revenue's Customs service, the Garda National Drugs Units and the Garda Drug Unit in Mullingar, 6 Kgs of herbal cannabis and 0.25 Kgs of cannabis resin, with a street value of approximately €60,000 has been seized.
The cannabis was detected in two parcels which arrived in the post by airmail into Dublin Airport and was detected by Customs drug detection dog, Toby.
Three Polish males, all in their twenties, have been arrested at a house in Co Westmeath and are being questioned at Mullingar Garda station.
The parcels were posted from Poland.
