Seizure of Cannabis in Shannon
In a joint operation involving officers from Revenue's Customs service and Gardaí from Shannon, one kilogram of herbal cannabis with a street value of €12,000 has been seized at a house in Shannon. One Irish female aged 21 years has been arrested and is currently being questioned in Shannon Garda station. The drugs were discovered in an airmail package which arrived from Belgium.
Investigations are continuing.
