Cocaine seizure in Dublin
In a joint operation involving officers from Revenue's Customs service and gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit, one kilogram of cocaine with a value of €70,000 was seized at an address in Churchtown, Dublin, this evening. A 28-year-old Irish male has been arrested under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996, and is being questioned in Rathfarnham garda station.
The drugs had earlier arrived by air-freight from Canada into Dublin Airport. The find resulted from intelligence.
