Heroin Seizure at Dublin Airport
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service at Dublin Airport today (29/11/2008) seized approximately 250gms of heroin with a street value of €50,000.
The drugs were seized following questioning of a 21-year-old female from the UK. The six pellets of heroin were concealed internally on her person.
The woman had arrived on a flight from Amsterdam. She was arrested and handed over to the Garda Drugs Unit in Santry and is due to appear in Dublin District Court this afternoon.
To date in 2008 Officers of Revenue's Customs Service at Dublin Airport have seized over €6 million worth of drugs.
