1.5 Kilos of Cocaine seized at Shannon Airport
Officers of Revenue's Customs Service, at Shannon Airport last night (31/03/02009) seized approximately 1.5 Kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000.
The drugs were concealed in a false compartment of the luggage of a male Romanian national in his 40's who had arrived on a flight from Rio de Janiero, via London.
The man was handed over to Gardai in Ennis and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
