Revenue Seize Marked Mineral Oil in Co. Offaly
During an operation in the Midlands area yesterday (4/6/2009) Officers from the Revenue's Customs Service based in Tullamore, Co Offaly, detected five vehicles using marked mineral oil and seized three vehicles valued at €200,000.
Enquiries are continuing and a file is being prepared for prosecution.
It is Revenue policy to institute legal proceedings for the illegal use of marked mineral oil in motor vehicles.
