Cannabis Seizure in Rosslare Europort
Officers from Revenue's Customs service in Rosslare have this evening (09/07/2009) seized a half kilo of herbal cannabis with a street value of €6,500. A Polish male aged 44 living in Ireland has been arrested by Customs officers and is being questioned.
The drugs were concealed in the engine compartment of an Opel Astra which arrived on the car-ferry from Cherbourg. Drug detection dog 'Dillion' raised the suspicions of Customs officers who searched the engine compartment and discovered the drugs.
