Cocaine Seizure at Dublin Port
Following a surveillance operation officers from Revenue's Customs Service based at Dublin Port and Airport, supported by An Garda Síochána, today (10/03/2010) seized 7 Kgs of cocaine with an estimated street value of €500,000. The operation focused on the movement of suspect vehicles and individuals through Dublin Port and Airport.
The cocaine was deeply concealed in a Mercedes, which was seized in the operation, and also hidden in a baby seat.
A man in his thirties was arrested and will be charged.
An international operation has now been launched.
