Revenue awarded Business Continuity Management Standard
The Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners, Josephine Feehily, today (10/12/10) accepted the BS 25999 Business Continuity Management Certificate at Dublin Castle, from Padraic White, Chairman,
Certification Europe and Michael Brophy, Lead Auditor, Certification Europe.
BS 25999 certification is a globally recognised Business Continuity Standard which is being awarded for Revenue's ICT&L Division.
Revenue are the first organisation in Ireland to achieve this standard which complements the ISO 27001 Information Security Standard which Revenue achieved at the beginning of 2010.
The standard is independently audited and sets requirements in areas such as business continuity management organisation, definition of critical services, business impact analysis, risk assessment, contingency options and recovery strategies, incident control, documenting and exercising of recovery plans and education and training.
Certification Europe are the independent auditors for this standard in Ireland.
