Cocaine Seized by Customs at Dublin Airport
Revenue's Customs Service at Dublin Airport last night (07/02/2011), seized approximately 3.16kgs of cocaine with a street value of €220,000, in a joint operation with the Garda National Immigration Bureau,
Customs officers intercepted a 48 year-old male Guyanese national who had arrived from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and discovered the cocaine concealed in a false bottomed suitcase.
He was arrested and handed over to Ballymun Garda Drug Squad and he is due to appear in court later today.
