Customs Seize Herbal Cannabis in Dublin
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service today (17/04/2011), in a joint operation with members of the Garda National Drugs Unit and Gardaí from Store Street Garda Station, seized 60 Kgs of herbal cannabis in Dublin.
The cannabis, with an approximate street value of €720,000, was imported through Dublin Port from Cyprus via the Netherlands and was transferred under surveillance to a location in the north inner city.
Two UK males in their thirties have been arrested under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 and are being held at Store Street Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
