Customs Seize Firearms and Drugs at Dubin Port
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service this afternoon (23/12/11), assisted by Dublin Port Security, seized three firearms, two of which were loaded, a quantity of ammunition and 1.5 kilos of cannabis at Dublin Port.
The firearms, ammunition and drugs, which were deeply concealed within the vehicle, were discovered by Customs Officers when the vehicle was searched. The firearms ("Glock", "Sig" and "38 Special") are currently undergoing forensic analysis. The vehicle was also seized.
Follow-up enquiries are being conducted by GardaĆ at Store Street Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
