Cannabis Seized in Rosslare Europort
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service, yesterday (25/11/2011), seized 3.7kg of herbal cannabis when they stopped and searched a van that was disembarking a ferry from France. The drugs with an estimated street value of €45,000 were concealed in drums of paint.
The seizure was made on foot of routine profiling and the Customs X-Ray Scanner was used in the search of the vehicle.
A Polish male in his thirties was arrested and questioned at Wexford Garda Station, before being released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
