Meeting of OECD Heads of Tax Administrations in Seoul
Revenue Chairman Frank Daly represented Ireland at a meeting of Heads of Tax Administrations from 35 countries which took place in Seoul, South Korea on 14th and 15th September 2006 under the auspices of the OECD. The meeting, which is the third such gathering, followed on from a similar meeting in Dublin in June 2005. At the conference agreement was reached on a 'Seoul Declaration' which addresses the issues of more effective tax administration, the problems of international non-compliance with national tax requirements and the linkage between tax and good Corporate Governance.
