Revenue Secure Email System Upgrade

The Revenue Commissioners has introduced an upgraded version of the Secure Email system. This upgraded version has replaced the current version and introduces new features such as a user profile that allows you to update your details including your password.

The link for Secure Email on www.revenue.ie while still accessible from 'Tax Practitioners' has moved to 'Online Services’. Alternatively you can access the service by going to https://iea50.revenue.ie/websafe/root.

There is no need to re-register for secure email, you can log in as normal using your existing account details (email address and password). After logging in to the new system, you are strongly encouraged to complete the Select a Forgot Password Question and Provide a Forgot Password Answer fields in the Edit Profile section. This will allow you to reset your password in the event that you forget it at a later stage.

Additional features include the ability to request a read receipt (this can also be set as a preference in your profile) and send multiple attachments (previously limited to 3 files). Please note: In relation to emails from the old Secure Email system, you must use the password you had at the time of sending. Also please do not use the Reply or Reply All buttons; your email will not deliver as we have migrated to a new system.
