Revenue seizes cannabis at Rosslare Europort

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service, today (09/08/2012), seized 14.4kg of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €86,400, when they stopped and searched a car that was disembarking a ferry from France at Rosslare Europort.

The seizure was made on foot of routine profiling. Revenue's sniffer dog, Alfie gave an indication. The vehicle was then scanned by the Customs X-Ray Scanner and drugs were discovered concealed in the vehicle.

A UK national in his forties was arrested and taken to Wexford Garda Station.
