Customs seize drugs in Rosslare Europort

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service, yesterday (20/04/2012), seized 8 kgs of herbal cannabis with a street value of €96,000.

Officers made the seizure of foot of routine profiling. The vehicle in which the drugs were concealed was disembarking a ferry that had arrived from France.

The scanner and a Customs drugs detection dog were also employed in the search of the vehicle.

A Lithuanian national in his twenties was arrested and is currently being held in Wexford Garda Station.
