Customs seize cocaine at Dublin Airport
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service, yesterday (22/01/2012), seized 1kg of cocaine with a street value of approximately €70,000.
The drugs were discovered when officers stopped and searched the baggage of a 48 year old Latvian national, who had arrived on a flight from London having previously travelled from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The cocaine was glued in the side wall of a brief case.
The man was arrested and handed over to the Gardaí from Dublin Airport and appeared in Dublin District today (23/01/2012) where he was remanded in custody to appear in Cloverhill Court on Friday 27/02/2012.
