Revenue seizes tobacco in Carlow

In an intelligence-led, joint operation in Carlow last night (05/12/13), officers from Revenue’s Customs Service and An Garda Síochána seized a vehicle and 7.5 kgs of tobacco, with a retail value of €3,000 and a potential loss to the Exchequer of €2,500

The "Samson" tobacco and Toyota Yaris were seized when the vehicle was stopped and searched in Carlow town. An Irish male was questioned.

Investigations are ongoing & a file is being prepared for the DPP.
