Revenue seizes cigarettes in Carlow

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service, with the assistance of An Garda Síochana, seized 16,980 cigarettes with a retail value of €7,300 and an estimated loss to the Exchequer of €6,112, in the Carlow town area today (22/10/13).

The seizure was made as a result of an intelligence-led operation during which officers also seized a BMW X5 Jeep.
