Revenue seizes cocaine in Cork

As a result of an intelligence-led operation between Revenue’s Customs Service and An Garda Síochána, focusing on the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Cork, officers seized approximately 400gms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €28,000, yesterday (04/12/14), at a house in Cork City.

The drugs which originated in South Africa, were concealed in a shipment of sandals. A 22 year old Nigerian female were arrested and is currently detained under drug trafficking legislation.

Investigations are on-going.
