Revenue seizes €378,000 of cocaine at Dublin Airport

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 5.4kgs of cocaine with a street value of €378,000 at Dublin Airport yesterday ( 07/11/14).

The drugs were discovered when a 50 year old Romanian national who had arrived on a flight from Abu Dhabi was stopped and searched. The drugs, 289 pellets in total, were concealed in sweets.

The man was arrested and later appeared in the Court of Criminal Appeal where Judge Anthony Halpin remanded him in custody for a week to appear in Cloverhill Court on 14 November.
