Revenue seizes herbal cannabis in Rosslare

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service seized a further 4.5kgs of herbal cannabis with a street value of €90,000 this afternoon (30/1/2014) at Rosslare Europort.

The drugs were discovered when Revenue's sniffer dogs 'Ralph' and 'Defor', gave a positive reaction to a vehicle that had disembarked from the ferry from Cherbourg. The drugs had been concealed in two gas cylinders.

A UK national has been detained for questioning and investigations are on-going.
