Major cash seizure by Revenue at Dublin Airport

In an intelligence-led operation at Dublin Airport today (11/09/15), Revenue seized over €500,000 in cash, the largest seizure of cash to date this year.

The cash was seized under the Proceeds of Crime legislation from a 36 year old Irish male travelling to Brussels.

Revenue officers were granted a three-month detention order by Judge John Coughlan in the Criminal Courts of Justice today in order to carry out further investigations.
