Revenue seizes cash at Dublin Port
As a result of routine screening of traffic, Revenue officers, assisted by cash detection dog Meg, seized over St£25,000 (€33,000) cash in Dublin Port yesterday (13/09/15).
The cash was detained under the Proceeds of Crime legislation from a 37 year old Northern Irish male arriving into Dublin Port from Holyhead.
This morning (14/9/15) Revenue was granted a three-month detention order by Judge Halpin in the Criminal Courts of Justice in order to carry out further investigations.
