Summary

Mr Raymond Brohan, with an address at 24, Hazel Road, Donnycarney, Dublin, 9, pleaded guilty on 15 February 2017 to the following offences under Section 1078 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997:

• Failure to deliver an Income Tax return for the tax years 2006 and 2011.
• Knowingly and wilfully delivering an incorrect tax return for the VAT periods Jan/Feb 2006 and Jan/Jun 2008.
• Failing to deliver a tax return for the VAT periods Jul/Aug 2008, Sept/Oct 2010 and Nov/Dec 2012.
• Failing to remit Valued-Added Tax for the VAT periods Jan/Feb 2006, Jul/Aug 2009 and Nov/Dec 2012.

Outcome

On 31 May 2017 at Dublin Circuit Court, Judge Ryan imposed a 7 month custodial sentence for each of the above offences, all to run concurrently.
